SAMAYA WATCH

SAMAYA WATCH — “Time, Made Personal. Crafted in Nepal. Worn Everywhere.”

Samaya Watch is Nepal’s pioneering homegrown watch brand, founded in 2021 with the vision of creating timepieces that reflect Nepali identity, craftsmanship, and pride. Based in Kathmandu, the company assembles its watches in Nepal and combines international components with local craftsmanship to produce distinctive mechanical and quartz timepieces. The name "Samaya" comes from the Sanskrit word for "time," symbolizing the brand’s connection to South Asian heritage and its commitment to timeless design. Through collections inspired by Nepal’s culture, nature, and traditions, Samaya has become one of the country's most recognized watch brands and a symbol of Nepali entrepreneurship in the watch industry.

Founder and CEO – Rajani Shrestha

Samaya Watch was founded by Rajani Shrestha, a Nepali entrepreneur who launched the brand in 2021 after identifying a gap in Nepal’s watch market. Following extensive market research, she recognized the opportunity to create a Nepali watch brand that could compete with international names while celebrating local identity. Starting with an investment of approximately NPR 2 million during the COVID-19 pandemic, she began assembling watches in Nepal using components sourced internationally. Her vision and determination transformed Samaya from a startup idea into Nepal’s leading watch brand, with a showroom in Kathmandu and customers both in Nepal and abroad.
