Founder – Federico Restrepo

Federico Restrepo is a French-Colombian designer, artist, and entrepreneur whose career spans more than three decades across the luxury industry. Born in Bogotá, Colombia, he studied philosophy at the Sorbonne while pursuing interests in design, painting, architecture, and product creation. Before launching his watch brand, Restrepo worked on numerous projects for leading luxury companies in fields including perfumes, cosmetics, writing instruments, and fashion accessories. His fascination with watchmaking and his vision for distinctive elliptical timepieces eventually led to the creation of Restrepo Watches. Drawing inspiration from art, astronomy, travel, and Latin culture, he established a brand centered on originality, creativity, and personal expression. 

Current CEO – Federico Restrepo

Federico Restrepo also serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Creative Director of Restrepo Watches. As the driving force behind the brand, he personally oversees design, product development, branding, and strategic direction. His leadership emphasizes independence, innovation, and artistic freedom rather than conformity to industry trends. Under his guidance, Restrepo Watches has established a distinctive identity through its elliptical watch cases, Swiss mechanical movements, and highly creative storytelling. By blending design, philosophy, and horology, Federico Restrepo continues to position the brand as one of the most original voices in contemporary independent watchmaking.
